Chapter 6:

@Raymond Yes, that quote was a prime example of why Shoshanna is crazy but cool. Maybe I should go to the carwash. Maybe… we should… nah, that’d be silly. But still! I wonder if any kid in Georgia reading this story thought of doing it, or actually did it. That’d be funny. Brendan was so right for that advice. Adults will take just about anything if they think it’s for school. You wanna know how many times I’ve used the excuse “it’s homework” or “my teacher said…” or “for science”? Yeah, a buck ton. Maybe even a dozen. Dozens. It’s a great excuse, my mom melts at it. I also thought the glasses on the cover were from, Brendan’s stint. And, I think that’s a great observation of why Brendan trusts Chase more!

It’s my guy! So glad to have him back. Now, what is he gonna think of what’s going on? Ugh, this was such an amazing chapter! I know if Brendan asked me to pull this stint I’d do it in a heartbeat. It sounds so interesting and fun, if only I could do stuff like this and not get in trouble. I was actually cackling reading this part as I tried to imagine this little sliver of an 8th grader going through a car wash on a bike. Also, (this is back at the beginning), that one kid being like “I don’t actually have an appointment, you’re just an idiot” was super hilarious to me. I liked how everybody said no. This was just very funny. I’d watch a  YouTube channel of this dumb stuff. I also like how Gord highlighted that Chase was good at recording, that he did not run away, and he had a nice laugh with Brendan at the house. It’s nice seeing their friendship grow and I have a feeling it would last for years, if not longer. I’m super glad that Chase is going to join the video club, especially with Shoshanna in it… the plot thickens!

Be blessed,

Jade
