Overall, El Capitan was a brilliant con. Cars are a reflection of their owners. A distinctive, ostentatious, and exclusive vehicle is a status symbol, so of course residents of a well-to-do town are going to want one. And a super-efficient, planet-friendly car is going to appeal to a different demographic of buyers. So now, El Capitan has both the luxury seekers and the tree huggers eager to buy in. And Junior has a “working prototype” that is more than enough to sell people on the concept. The cars are a big-ticket item, so investing in the auto manufacturer is an even bigger commitment of cash. Grab the money and run, just like Junior’s normal script.
