I don’t think there would ever be a “normal” after having to leave your two kids behind. And probably the love of your life. Based on Junior, he seems like a good guy (other than the scamming thing) so I imagine he had a healthy relationship with his ex-wife. But I think she’d be put in a really hard situation. Take the man she loved and started a family with to court for custody of the kids and put him in jail for life, ruining everything he had? And then starting over as a heartbroken single mom of two? Or join him in committing heinous crimes and losing her true life? Oh, and goodness! What if she met Junior while he was scamming someone? What if she fell in love and had a family with a false persona only to realize she’d been played? Such a rough situation! So guys, I don’t think there would be a normal. Not after having her heart shattered by not only Junior but also losing her two babies.

Also, who knows if she just left? Junior is definitely an unreliable narrator. He could have taken the kids with him for a multitude of reasons: 1) he knew his wife would tattle on him & he didn’t want to lose his kids either (he loves them) being one of them! What if she didn’t leave, but he ran away from her–taking their kids with him? Who knows!

Also, how old were they again when she left? I remember that Trey’s first scam was when he was 5-6, so would he and Arianna be 4 & 6? That would mean that their mom had been raising them for quite a long time, from birth to starting school. That also implies that she was with Junior for at least 7 years, or Trey’s age + 1. That’s a long time!

I’m with Raymond on this one. If I were a mom, I’d be hard-pressed to leave my two kids.

@Raymond: Yeah, it’s your turn tomorrow! And sure, we can close it out–but only if @everyone else wants to. There’s still plenty of discussion to use if we wanted to do more.

Be blessed,

Jade
