reply
Hi, Ms. Townsend & Class,
I think I answered all these, but cleverly erased my reply, so here I go again, with apologies:
1. Names are easy. When all else fails, just scan the newspaper or a magazine. Mind you, I’m fussy about names for my characters. They have to sound just right to me.
2. I think I said I’m not 12 any more, but I’m not 100 either, so I’m still planning more books.
3. My 7th grade teacher sure did find out about my book! It became a bestseller, so the whole school knew. So did a lot of Canada and the United States.
4. It took about 5 or 6 months to complete “Superteacher,” That’s about average for me.
5. I know James Ponti, and Peter Lerangis, and Stuart Gibbs, and Rick Riordan and a lot of other authors.
And if I’ve answered this twice, I apologize! I get a lot of mail and answer it at breakneck speed, so I’m often in something of a daze. But I didn’t want your kiddos to be disappointed. –GK–
