Gianna, please forgive me for overlooking your letter! I’m so sorry. I get a lot of mail, and try to keep up with it, but I failed in this instance.

RESTART is strictly fiction, not tied to my own life, not about anything I’ve experienced or anyone I know. I just thought it would make a good story about bullying, friendship, and second chances.
