Thanks for posting. I’ll try to answer your questions.

1. I have a lot of author friends. To name just a few: James Ponti, Peter Lerangis, Stuart Gibbs, Christina Soontornvat, and Rick Riordan.

2. This profession actually chose me! I was 12, in 7th grade, when I wrote my first book, THIS CAN’T BE HAPPENING AT MACDONALD HALL. I wasn’t trying to be an author, I was just trying to pass 7th grade English. My work became so popular that I sent it to a publisher. That was over 40 years ago, and I’ve been writing ever since. The next book to come out will be #105.

3. Choosing my favorite book is like choosing my favorite among my 3 kids. It can’t be done. But I do have a soft spot in my heart for my Book #100, THE FORT.
