I selected this novel for my reading group… 15 Third graders that are strong readers!  We began our school year reading an old publication, Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire, and they begged for another book by Mr. Korman.  I researched and selected Unplugged for several reasons: Arkansas (we are in Arkansas), Technology (it was nice to find a current book where they didn’t have to learn about old technology no longer in use), and the subject of Friendship.  From the very beginning we dove into the characters, made predictions, and were so excited to see the predictions come true!  as we read the first “big reveal” at the end my class literally CHEERED!  Thank you Gordan Korman for writing a book that my students begged to read everyday!
