Childhood favorite author

Hello- I am 48 years old, from Houston originally and live in dallas.  As a child, you were my favorite author… you used to come to my reading teachers book store – stop, look, and learn, for autograph signings, I never missed one. I read every book. As an adult and mother of 3, I was so surprised some years ago to find you still writing books for kids and young adults- and now my children are fans as well. 

One book in particular, masterminds, they just read.  I have a question about where you came up with the character’s name in that book – Eli Frieden.
