I am a senior adult now, but I started reading your books way back when — I most remember “A Semester in the Life of a Garbage Bag.” I’ve always enjoyed your books and lately been trying to read and collect the ones I’ve missed. Yesterday I finished the best one yet: Linked. It was so charming and yet so honest and poignant…really drawing me into the connection with the actual reality of the 6 million. I live in Orlando, so I got extra pulls when you mentioned the city plus the zoom call to a Jewish Community Center struck right to my heart. I went to elementary school with lots of Jewish kids who all spent their Saturdays at the Maitland JCC which now hosts a wonderful but haunting holocaust museum. Anyway, thanks for a beautiful writing job that made me think about the issues from so many angles and for the tears of remembrance that we all should have from time to time.
