LINKED looks serious!

Chapters/Indigo has posted a front cover image and book blurb for Linked. You have addressed some heavy topics in the past, but this one kind of took me by surprise. (I know you’ve mentioned the pending title before, but I don’t recall learning the book’s premise previously.) Very much looking forward to your treatment of a volatile subject.

The cover appears lighthearted. And, based on the blurb, I think “linked” must be a play on the name of one of your main characters. I hope that means we can expect a story of friendships mixed with humor, amidst a more serious backdrop. That’s how I think of The Juvie Three and Born to Rock and War Stories, and even a series like Kidnapped. You introduce troubling issues, but within a context and in a format that allow the reader some comfort and room for personal growth. 

Anyhow, I’ve preordered the hardcover and am seriously looking forward to July’s launch date for Linked.
