Raves for Unplugged

Good morning,

As a 6th grade lunch hour book club choice, we decided to read your novel, Unplugged, which has been nominated for our state’s Indian Paintbrush award.  We have to say that the story line had some excellent plot twists.  In addition, we feel that you represent the lives of middle school kids very well.  We do have some questions for you:

What made you choose the idea of eliminating technology in this novel?  We think that we might be able to live without technology for the summer if we had a ton of books, but we could definitely not live without meat.

Also, what book are you most proud of writing?
