School Project (Was NOT Forced to Do)
I am a 6th grader at Our Lady of Mercy School in East Greenwich, RI. Every month, our English teacher assigns a project called “the independent reading check,” in which we take a book we have read and do some activity with it. For this month, we have received a constant favorite from our English teacher, which is to write a letter to an author. I have read many of your books, but my favorite was your Slacker series. It had many paragraphs that reminded me of someone or something and brought back some memories of other school years. I wish you could write another book in the series. I think it would engage many of the book’s fans, and it makes sense from the story standpoint that it should be continued. I have read that you don’t plan on continuing the series, but I will still hope for another one. Please don’t think that I am writing this just because of a school assignment, but know that a letter from me would have eventually found its way into your mailbox, assigned or not. Another series that you have written that I also enjoyed was your Masterminds series. I think that some of the cliffhangers and plot twists were completely deserved and enjoyed by many other readers. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you will take into account my feedback.
Sincerely,
Andrew Morgan
