Unplugged book to movie?

Hello,

I am a 4th grade teacher in Ft. Smith, Arkansas and we just read Unplugged. My kids are close to staging a coup because every other novel we have read this year has a movie adaptation… (Tales of a 4th Grade Nothing, Shiloh, Because of Winn Dixie, The BFG, Holes etc). (I hope the gist of my jest lands in text 🙂 )

We are wondering if this book could be a movie anytime soon?
Thank you for your time,

4th graders and Mrs. Thornton
