Thanks for your interest. I think I'm pretty predictable, maybe even dull!

BIG football fan. New York Giants, season ticket holder. Also English soccer -- West Ham. Hockey -- Rangers. Baseball -- Yankees. I like to read, but don't find much time for it because I'm always doing my own writing. And my family, of course, consisting of one wife and 3 kids, ages 24, 20, and 17, boy-girl-boy.

Thanks for posting. I hope your 6th graders enjoy RESTART.

Scholastic didn't do any of the type of units you describe. However, a number of teachers did, and posted their work online. I don't know of any offhand, but if you Google around, I'll bet you can find some of their work.

2) Advice: read a lot, and write every day, even if it's only a journal or diary or laundry list. That's how you develop a facility for the use of language. If and when you get an idea for a story you'd like to try to write, you'll be ready!

3) Cap Anderson and everyone else in the story -- all fictional.

I want to tell you that your book operation do-over is really well structed and well put together, the story makes sense the layout is good, and it’s really intriguing and keeps you interested the entire story.

It made me want to research an interview about you and it was so very interesting to read that when you thought of your 100th book you were not existed but the closer and closer you came the more existed you became, and you wish you could whisper to you 7th grade self-writing your first book about the 100th “the fort” is so cool because I'm in 7th grade and your legendary career started in 7th grade that nothing less than amazing. Based on that, I am wondering how your writing has changed over the years I wondered if you changed you style or change vocabulary or anything at all

Has my writing changed over the years? Of course it has! I hope I've learned a thing or two about vocabulary, style, subject matter, storytelling, etc. between the ages of 12 and (gasp) 59. And when you write 100+ books (I'm now at 101 with the publication of THE SUPERTEACHER PROJECT), I hope you get better at your craft from sheer practice. The thing that even I haven't thought about is that none of those changes happened on purpose. I think my writing just developed in its own way, without any conscious effort by me. That is really amazing to think about!
