Hi Mr. Korman, We are a 3rd grade class that just finished Swindle. We were wondering is the baseball card real and is it based on a true story? Did you collect baseball cards like the one in Swindle. We look forward to hearing from you. Mr. Greer;s Class in Michigan

Thanks for posting. I'm pleased to hear that SWINDLE made a hit with the class. First of all, it's Book #1 of 8, so I hope you'll all want to read the other books in the SWINDLE series -- laughs, and even a bit of mystery, guaranteed!

The baseball card is real, based on a card of someone named Honus Wagner. Rare card, worth well over a million dollars. And I've just learned that the Mickey Mantle rookie card sold recently for $12.6 million! I never collected baseball cards, but I did have a whole hockey card collection, like every Canadian boy!
