Dear Mr. Korman,

Clark Intermediate loves your book The Unteachables! We read it every year to our sixth grade classes (68 students in my class alone) and we have them do a big project at the end of the novel. This year we asked them to come up with three reasons and write a letter to Principal Vargas for why Mr. Kermit should be Teacher of the Year. The second part of our project is for the students to create their own sequel to The Unteachables. Our students have designed some amazing plots for new ideas, so if you are ever in the market for a sequel, we have you covered. The number one question Clark students have is "when will this be turned into a movie?"

Thanks for letting me know that THE UNTEACHABLES has found a home at Clark Intermediate! I'm very pleased to hear it.

As to why Mr. Kermit should be Teacher of the Year -- because he loves his students and will do anything for them. And because he understands and accepts differences between people. And because he hates vuvuzuelas. (Who doesn't?)
