[Gabrielle]

Dear Gordon Korman,

My name is Gabrielle. I am an 8th grader in middle school. We just finished reading Swindle. It is an amazing book. I loved the story because I enjoyed reading about the dog Luthor. I was sad because Palomino cheated Griffin on the Babe Ruth card. I was wondering how the Babe Ruth card ended up in the old Rockford house? I can relate to Griffin because he tries to help his family and I like to help my family too. I was wondering which of your books is your favorite? I can’t wait to read more of your books!

Sincerely,

Gabrielle

Hi, Gabrielle,

Thank you for your friendly note. I'm pleased to hear that enjoying SWINDLE has made you interested in some of my other books. I hope you'll enjoy whatever you choose to read.

The Babe Ruth card was probably forgotten in that drawer many years ago when people were living in the house.

I honestly have no favorite among my books. But I admit I'm very proud of Book #100, THE FORT, and I actually have some affection for all my books to varying degrees. My readers choose what they're going to enjoy, but I have to like them all because they're mine!

                                 Thanks again, Gabrielle!                                            -----Gordon Korman-----
