Before reading Restart or Ungifted I had never heard of the last name Garfinkle. Then I read Restart and...Judge Garfinkle! After restart I read Ungifted and...Chloe Garfinkle. Related? Or is Garfinkle common elsewhere?

Thanks Gord,

And......

I have a theory that Theo's dad from Mixed up could be Arron or Bear from Restart, because "Rule the School". I know its not strong evidence but....

Hi, Silas,

No. I just happen to have used the name more than once. No relation.              -----Gordon Korman-----

Hi again, Gurleen,

Nope. Unless my books are in a series, the characters are unrelated to one another. (Especially since RESTART was written in 2016, and MIXED UP was written in 2022 -- which means the Dad would only be 6 years older than the son, right?)

Hi again Gord!

That's cool :)! I had never heard it before, so it had sparked my interest. Thanks for explaining!
