Greetings fellow GK fans!

Old School has come out, (bit late, sorry) but I think we need to find a date. The attendance might be sparse, because of educational prison (school) and all of that. I myself don’t have the book, but I’m heading down to Barnes and Noble soon here so crossing my book worn fingers that they have a few copies.

Anyway, if any has any idea for the format or date, just say so here.

My idea for the format is 1 chapter every 2-3 days, and after we are done, we can share our final thoughts (and compliments) to the book.

Thanks for the nudge, Jade! I'm ready whenever J.R. or another Forum-goer starts the OLD SCHOOL discussion or sets a kickoff date. Having one person "in charge" makes the discussion run smoother. And it's a lot of fun when several people participate and share their reactions to the book, so if anyone has suggestions for when and how to organize the discussion, please post them here!

... but if no one raises a hand to get it going, I'll plan to post every Friday in February. So, about a quarter of the book each week, starting on the 7th. I hope others will make it more exciting than that, though!

Hello! Thank you for Old School! Tomorrow, I am introducing a new group of books for book clubs to a 5th grade class. Students will get to select which books are their top choices. For this round of book clubs, I am using book trailers. Because Old School is so new, a book trailer doesn't exist yet (or at least I couldn't find one). So... if you get this in time, might you send a little something for me to share with them to whet their appetite for this as a book club choice? I was going to use Restart, which is one of my favorites, but it was a read aloud from one of their teachers before this book club round. Because these readers love your books, Old School was selected.
