MilkyAndTwizOkay so, I am in love with middle grade books because I myself am 12 years old. I have recently read Snoop from you and it is safe to say I loved it, it is my second favorite book from you (first being Restart), I even finished it in 3 days, which is a new record for me since last year October where I bought Unplugged and The Fort on the same day and finished it in 4 days at the same time. Anyways, now I’m currently reading Posted by John David Anderson and I just realized why I loved Snoop so much. I’m actually really interested in the concept of losing a very important person in your life, like a friend, like how Bench drifts away from the group in Posted and how Ethan drifts away from Carter in Snoop. So, let me propose a book idea for either 2026 or 2027 (hopefully 2026 cause why not) so the book could touch on some aspects like friendship or fame, losing a person who’s currently drifting away, the kind of scenes that make you want to cry with the main character who’s currently crying over their friend too! Well it’s currently just a concept but I feel like the way you write serious topics (like in The Fort) will absolutely hook me if you ever take this on. Ps, I also really enjoy serious serious topics like how in The Fort you dealt with parental abuse and parental neglect (Evan’s parents being stoners) so maybe the main character losing a friend could feel or think things like, how do I phrase this, uhhhh kicking the bucket but with their own hands…yeah. Anyways, I really love how you write books and of course you don’t have to take this on but it has been my dream to be seen by you and if it ever does get made, could I possibly be in the dedications so I can brag about it to my English teacher from 6th grade who got me into your books by reading Restart about a year ago in September 22 2024????? Heehhehe, uhh thanks for listening (I’m so hyped, I love your books I swear)

Thanks for posting. The book you describe, without knowing it exists, is called MIXED UP. If you like serious subjects, that's the one for you, guaranteed. As for anything else terribly serious, I think you're asking the wrong author. I prefer comedy-adventure, and there are 106 books with my name on them out there, so you won't run out of my stuff any time soon. But I admit that MIXED UP was my serious moment.
Thanks again for your comments. After all, I write for an audience, and that's you. So I should know what you're thinking, right?
