    Dear Mr Korman,

My 9yr old grandson has been reading books since he was 3.5 years old and has said, I want to be an author.  His birthday is December 7th (turning 10) and I thought maybe a great gift would be something from his favorite author. Not sure what support or ways you can do it because I understand how many letters and contacts you have daily.

He's a special boy and exceptional reader of real books, not iPads or any electronic device. His favorite book of yours is The Fort.  It would be amazing and a great surprise if you could somehow support his dream.  As you can tell with me, I am not a writer but truly hope there is a way that this can touch your heart and there is a way to reach out.

I would be happy to buy a signed book or if you have other options for something like this, I’d like to hear about it.

Any support/advice you can give would be greatly appreciated from a grandma who would love to encourage a grandsons dream and hopes.

    sincerely,

    Karen Petrovich

    Hi, Karen,

Thanks for posting. Your grandson seems to be one special young man!

How about this? Send my office your mailing address and his full name, and I'll mail you a signed bookplate that he can paste into his favorite book plus a gift booklet of several first chapters. Will that be a surprise for him?

    My office address:     [email protected]

I hope we can work together to surprise this very gifted reader of my books! I'll watch for your email.

                                                Best regards,                                                                   -----Gordon Korman-----
