    Dear, Gordon Kormon.

I love the Unteachables, it’s my favorite book so far in the year 4th grade! Why did you not write a chapter about Elaine?!My favorite character is…Elaine or Kiana! Is a part Two coming out soon?! Could you write a book about our class? How long does it take to write a book? What is some advice for writing books. Do you base any characters on real people?

How do you come up with the character names? What inspired you to write the Unteachables? What is your favorite book so far that you wrote? What is the hardest part of writing the Unteachables?

    From, Kinny .P

    Hi, Kinny,

Sorry, but I'm not planning Part 2. The kids are going to go on and have successful school careers because of the great start Mr. Kermit ended up giving them in this class. I don't think I can write a book about your class because I don't know all of you. Sorry. It takes anywhere from 5 months to a whole year to complete a book like THE UNTEACHABLES.

My advice for writing a book: plan very carefully before you ever put down a single word. Plan your characters and your events and your big ending. You can't say anything properly unless you know exactly what you're trying to say. And you just don't know that unless you plan. That's the best advice I can give you.

                 OK? Thanks again!                                                                          -----Gordon Korman-----
