-I love The Unteachables 1,000 out of 10!

-My favorite part was when SCS-8 dumped the vuvuzelas in the river! It was so funny, how did you come up with that?

-Will you make a second book?

-Do you make multiple books at once?

-What was your seventh grade project on?

-How long does it take to make a 300 page book?

Thanks for posting. I'll try to get to all your questions:

How did I come up with the scene with the vuvuzuelas? The same way I get all of it -- plain old hard work and a lot of thinking and plotting. No big mystery; it's just work.

Will I do a second book?No, no that one. They're all going to high school after Middle, and will probably be in different classes, and maybe even different schools.

I write one book at a time.

My 7th grade project was to write a "novelette." I got carried away with my story and quite accidentally wrote the story that became my first book, THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING AT MACDONALD HALL. I've been at it ever since then.

How long does it take to write a 300-page book? It takes as long as it takes, until it's finished! Average 6 to 8 months, often as long as a full year.
