    Korman Junkie

So in this post (https://gordonkorman.com/forum?t=31024) you said that the Unteachables would be in different classes in high school ("next year"). However, Mr. Kermit said, once rehired, and I quote, "Sign me up for next year...and I want SCS-8. Nobody else." So does he mean "I want to continue teaching the same class for the rest of the year"? I feel like he wouldn't need to state that. I initially read it as "Sign me up for next year, and I want to teach the kids in SCS-8 next year." Maybe I'm just confused, could you please explain?

It can mean whatever you want it to mean. But I intended it to say that he was going to continue teaching. That may or may not refer to the same kids, but the way academic promotions go, they should be going on to different classes, whether in the same school or in high school. I agree -- it comes out ambiguous.                                                --GK--
