Dear Mr. Korman,

I just finished reading Restart, I cannot begin to tell you how hooked I was to the book. It was so good, I loved how there was almost like a mystery, I kept thinking: "WHO STOLE THE MEDAL?!?!". When I found out it was Chase I couldn't believe it but I also kind of could. I feel like this book really shows that no matter how bad someone is there's always a way to change. And I just have a few questions:

How did you come up with the idea for Restart

How do you come up with the ideas for your book?

Do you think Aaron and Bear will change

(P.S. Could you write a book about the life of an average middle school kid, like toxic friendships and how people are mean but also friends? I think kids can relate to that.)

I'm glad RESTART made such a hit with you. Your questions:

The idea for the story came from the same place I get all my ideas -- a lot of thinking and plotting. No big mystery; it's just work. I think Aaron and Bear will outgrow their tough ways. At least, you have to hope so. Nobody stays 12 forever, thank goodness! And I think I've written the kind of book you asked for at least 50 times! I hope you'll read more of my work.
