Dear Gordon Korman,

My name is Diezel and I have read seven of your books that you wrote. My favorite two were Unplugged and The Unteachables. I love the way you wrote the ending of The Unteachables. I loved the car and it sounded so cool and fast. I loved how the kid got to help with the build. I liked that the kids got interaction with adults during school hours. The reason why I like it is when I help my dad with building race cars for racing.

I have some questions for you. What is your favorite book that you made? What is your favorite book you read? What made you write your first book and why? What are your favorites, cats or dogs? Are you married, yes or no? Do you have kids, yes or no? What state do you live in? What book should I read next?

Thanks for posting. I'm pleased to hear that THE UNTEACHABLES made such a big hit with you. I hope you'll continue to read and enjoy my work.

Your questions: I have no favorite among my books. Having said that, I admit that I'm the most "into" the newest releases. So that makes my current "favorite" HYPERGIFTED, which came out just a couple of weeks ago. Why did I write my first book? Hey, that was to avoid flunking English. The story that became my first book was an English assignment in 7th grade. I prefer dogs, but I like cats too. And I have one wife, and 3 kids, ages 20, 24, and 27, boy-girl-boy. I live in New York state. And look at THE BOOKS section of this website to choose your next book, OK?
