Trinity

Hi, my name is Trinity. Much like you my teacher has assigned us to do a research project, I decided to write a book. We also have to interview someone so I though you would be the perfect person to do. We are also reading the book Linked which I really like. Here are some of my interview questions.

1. Do you like writing?

2. Why do you write the stories you do?

3. What made you come up with the way you change the narrator per chapter?

4. How long does it take you to write a book?

5. Were you inspired by anyone?

6. Do you take events from your own life and put them in your books?

Thanks for posting. I'll try to get to all your questions.

1. I really do love writing. When I get into a topic, I really enjoy the heck out of it, even the hard parts.

2. Why? Because writing is what I do for a living. It's my chosen profession, and has been since I was 12.

3. Ah, you noticed that! I saw it in a book I read a few years ago, and realized that it would fit very well with the kind of stuff I write. I find it gives a more rounded effect to the story to have several different viewpoints.

4. The shortest took 5 weeks; the longest took a lttle over a year. Average 6 to 8 months.

5. Inspired? You might say so! I was asked by my 7th grade teacher to write what he called "a novelette." I think he just wanted a story that didn't end after the first page. I got carried away, and the resulting project was my first book, THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING AT MACDONALD HALL. That was almost 50 years ago!

6. Not intentionally. But I'm sure I'm in there somewhere, along with some of my own experiences and those of people I know. But what I write is basically fiction. If I'm in one of my books, it's unintentional.
