Heather WetzelHello,
I am a sixth grade Reading teacher. My five classes and I have been thoroughly enjoying Restart. Some students are using the audible version to support their reading. We have noticed that the readers consistently replace the words "received"and "awarded" in the print version for the word "won" in the audible version as it pertains to the Mr. Solway and the Medal of Honor. We are so very curious as to why this change was made.
Much appreciated,
Heather

You and your classes are SOOOO perceptive!
The reason is all my fault. As a Canadian, I was unfamiliar with the American terminology regarding a special award like the Medal of Honor. (And so was my copy editor, it seems!) I presumed you "won" a medal. You do not. In the case of the Medal of Honor, you are always "awarded" it.
Please let your classes know that I said, "Good catch!" I'm glad you all liked the book.
