Hi!

So I read Ungifted again for the (I think) tenth time! Maybe it was a bit more, though, I just love that book! Anyways, I have two, very minor questions about some things the characters say.

First thing, on page 52, Donovan is talking about things he learned after the whole "cheating off of Abigail" fails. The last thing he learns is that "zero is a four-letter word." What did he think zero was spelled as? Or was it a joke he made in his head, haha! My friends joke about that line sometimes. 

And the other thing, on page 35, Chloe describes Donovan's eyes as "black fringed", what does that mean?

Also, how would you describe what the Daniels look like? I have ideas for all the characters based on your descriptions in the book (Donovan,  Noah, Chloe, Abigail). And also just made designs out of nowhere for very minor characters (Jacey, Latrell, Kevin, Heather, and Dierdre). I was just wondering if you had any ideas for them! The only thing we get is the one Daniel is taller (Chloe, Ungifted) and they look practically identical (Noah, Supergifted).

"A 4-letter word" usually describes a swear word, or a word for something bad. Getting a zero is something bad. Its just a joke.

Black-fringed eyes mean exactly that -- eyes with black lashes.

I'm still in awe of the people who read my books and draw pictures of the characters! So the Daniels are both brown-haired, slender 12-year-olds, one (and do NOT ask which one, as I have no clue!) slightly taller then the other. Their faces are similar -- slightly rounded, with brown or hazel eyes (your choice) and a slight look of mischief about them -- quirky grins, eyes that seem to see and understand a lot.

I read a lot of books when I was your age, and so help me, I never drew one of them! I am in awe of the people who do!
