AmeliaI feel like Malik has image issues. He seems to compare himself to Amber when his mom calls her a lovely girl, and when he finds out that he's a clone, he immediately assumes he's cloned from he worst possible people. trying again because I keep getting labeled as spam :(

Yes, Malik has image issues. He's a bit of a rule-bender, and the Serenity "parents" would be leaning on him for that. And he was smart enough to know that he was not the favorite kid in town. As for Hector, his "family" situation was not a loving one, so he was disturbed about it, as anyone would be. He went back after the escape because he thought the others had run out on him -- and feeling that way was part of his lack of self-worth. Yes, Malik know that the Amanis didn't treat Hector well, but he would no more go and tell Felix about it than he would fly to the moon! Felix, he felt, was the enemy in some form. The kids would never rat each other out for any reason. So why didn't Felix fix Hecor? Beause he didn't know there was anything wrong with the way Hecor was being raised. --GK--
