EllaRestart is one of my favorite books, but it didn't start out that way. The multiple POV confused my nine year old brain back then, and I regretted adding it to my book bag that week. I had to wait a whole new week to pick out a new book, and I was looking forward to it, because that week I absolutely dreaded silent reading time. Something changed though, and I ended up loving it with all of my heart, and for my tenth birthday I got my own copy, which is still on my bedside table. It isn't just me who loves Restart (and your books in general) though. I read aloud your books with my little sister sometimes, and I recommended Restart to my cousin who has some literary issues and he's hooked on your books now, which is a huge compliment since he refuses to read anything (trust me, I've given him many books to try) You also inspired me to write my own stories when I heard you published your first book at 14. Since then, I've come up with countless ideas and written down a ton, which by the way do you have any suggestions for actually finishing a draft? I really want writing to be my career when I grow up.
Anyway, I know that many times you've been asked if you can write a sequel to Restart, and always give a maybe. Also, you definitely have a lot of books/ideas to write, but even if a sequel came out five years from now, I'd read it, since that's around the amount of time since I first read Restart, and I still love it. I feel like a ton of people would absolutely adore a sequel, and that maybe you could just have a minor brainstorm session about a second book. It could maybe be the summer after, or even high school, since that's around the age the original fans are. Who knows, maybe Brendon, Kimmy, Chase, and Shoshanna could finally get that double date. Even if you just wrote a short story about it (hint hint).
So on that note, thank you both for reading that message and for all the reading material that you've provided me over the years. (And even I've finished a short story, so you definitely could. Although a book would be preferable)
