As some of yall might know, I am a huge, and I mean HUGE, fan of Ungifted, and most importantly, an even bigger fan of Donovan Curtis.

I ADORE him, he is literally all I think about unless I read another Gordon Korman book, but he always comes back in my mind eventually.

Anyways I decided to write down some of my headcanons for Donovan to share. :3

• Resident of Kurtis Town (meaning he's a fan of Kurtis Conner)
• Mexican-Irish American (I thought he was Mexican at first, then I read the end of chapter 1 where Donovan's ancestor came from Ireland)
• No sabo kid (I feel like his parents never taught him Spanish)
• He's a HUGE fan of NSYNC
• His handwriting sucks
• I feel like he owns heelys (inspired by a friend's headcanon as well)
• Really likes Fanta
• There's a scene in Chapter 1 where a basketball player talks to Donovan, and Donnie says the player is 6'4" (193.04 cm) and that he could see the top of Donnie's head so I think Donovan is about 5'2" (157.48 cm)
• Donovan is always really engaged in other people’s interests because of how often his are dismissed
• HATES generative AI (yes, this is inspired by Hypergifted)
• Loves babysitting but he probably has no clue how to calm a crying child
• Major dinosaur fan
• He loves those Kraft mac & cheese cups, especially the SpongeBob ones
• He broke his arm once trying to do an ollie
• He loved alphabet soup as a kid but his parents stopped giving it to him because he would just take out the letters and spell stuff with them
