Hello,

My name is Jackson, and I'm in 5th grade. I was introduced to your books first through my school's book club, and I've now read 3 of them. My favorite so far is Ungifted. Because I like your books so much, I chose you and your books as my topic for my "passion project" presentation at school. I am writing to you, because I was hoping to ask you a couple questions that I can include in my project. I Googled your inspiration for writing, and I found out that you got most of your inspiration from your early childhood and observing everyday life. I also know that your first book was an accident. Here are my questions for you. 1) Which of the books that you've written is your favorite? 2) What's your favorite book from a different author? 3) Are you currently working on any new books that you can share?

Thanks for posting. I'm pleased to hear that you've started reading and enjoying my books. I'll try to answer your questions:

1. I honestly have no favorite among my books. However, I admit that I'm very proud of THE FORT, whch was my Book #100. And I'm also pretty pleased with the way the MASTERMINDS series turned out. And, of course, I have a soft spot for THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING AT MACDONALD HALL, which is the first one, the one I wrote as a 7th grade English project.

2. My all-time favorite from another author is THE SIRENS OF TITAN by Kurt Vonnegut, an author not to be missed!

3. The next book of mine to come out is called SLEEPLESS. You can watch for it in July. And after that, probably around the end of 2026, something I think is special, called THE FAVORITE. Laughs guaranteed, and maybe even some suspense!
