moureon--lorayHello Mr. Korman!
I am a 6th grade student who has loved your books for a long time, ever since I picked up two 39 Clues books from the park. While I also fell in love with the 39 Clues series (I don't remember exactly when, but I'm thinking I was around 6-8 years old), I also loved your style of writing!! 39 Clues will always hold a special place in my heart, not only because of the intriguing, fun, and action-filled plot, but also because of the variety of talented writers who wrote the plot!
I got the 7th and 8th books in the first part of the series (and you wrote #8!), and I still have them, even after 6-7 years! I also bought 2 of the Vespers vs Cahills books, and now they are sitting proudly in my bookshelf. And I finished the full series, including the other parts and The Outbreak (I think it was called??). Amazing book series. It will forever be one of my favourites. Or maybe my actual favourite (to this day, my brother teases me about how many times I reread the books. He doesn't know I also reread all of the Vesper ones, and of course the series where Amy was dying because of the serum and OF COURSE the series where their evil-mourning grandfather reenacted world disasters... I REREAD ALL OF THEM AT LEAST THRICE).
But I didn't just come to talk about 39 Clues. When I was in, I think 3rd grade (yeah it was 3rd), I was in my school's library. I was just looking for a book, when I saw this cool looking book. It was none other than your book The Unteachables. If I tell you I liked it, I would be lying. I LOVED IT. I read it twice in 3 days, flopped on my bed and read it for hours, and told everyone in a 2 meter proximity how amazing this book is. What stood out to me was the thought-out backstories and how they all connected together.
The funny thing is that I read it again in 4th (5th? or 3rd? My memory of class projects is always rocky :> I think it was 4th) grade in class, where we read a chapter every 1-2 weeks. I was tempted to spoil it to my friends, but rest assured, I kept my mouth zipped. The only problem was it was tiring to read chapter by chapter. That form of reading never works for me purely because it doesn't satisfy me as much as reading quarter by quarter, or in a full siting. I forget what the latest plot was, and I have to search deep in my memory to figure it out. Oh, and we had to do worksheets on The Unteachables as well :( They had hilarious graphics though :D
Anyways, after that, I eagerly went through my school library's shelf of your books, from Linked to Restart, and another one of my favourites, The Superteacher. That book was so great, I've run out of adjectives to describe it. I also regularly keep up with your new releases, like Slugfest (amazing). I'm currently on hold for the latest one, Snoop. I believe I also read Faker? I remember reading one of your books like it, so I think it was that one. I haven't started your Gifted series (to my knowledge, ok I'm seriously worried about my memory. Dw, I think I just read too many books, my brain can't keep up with them :D) but I will soon, since you recently added one to the series.
My final message is thank you, for being such an inspiring and amazing author, who never fails to bring ANOTHER book with interesting and relatable characters, end-of-your-seat plot, and heart warming relationships. As someone who is also writing a book, I look up to you more than anyone! Also, I'm Canadian as well :D
You've made an impact on readers all around the world!
-moureon--loray (those are some of the characters I'm writing about. clever, huh?)

Thanks for posting. I don't think I have a more loyal fan than you, from THE 39 CLUES through to the newer releases! I really appreciate your rave reviews. I'll certainly try to keep writing material that will please and amuse you.
The next one is due very soon -- in July -- called SLEEPLESS. Something different, I think. I hope you'll keep in touch and let me know your impression of it. And I wish you every success with your own writing. I certainly owe you a fan letter, and I'll be happy to deliver one when the time comes!
Thanks again! -----Gordon Korman-----
