1. Hi. I\'m a children\'s librarian in NJ and recently started a book club for grades 3-5. I\'m focusing on specific authors right now and just did you. I had a small group (it\'s still new) but they were so excited to tell me how much they love your books. One little girl (grade 3) told me she\'s reading 3 books at the same time and two of them are yours. Everyone wanted to talk about how it\'s criminal that your books haven\'t been made into movies and they gave me lists of books of yours that I totally have to read next. Just want to share the love.

Hi, Leala,

Thanks for posting to tell me about your Book Club. I think it's a terrific idea to start something like that at just the right time -- they're getting good at reading and discovering what's out there!

Please tell them that there are a few movies already -- 3 of them on the Macdonald Hall series, and one based on SWINDLE. And 5 or 6 years of Disney Channel TV shows based on my series THE MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL CLUB. Of course, it's authors who write books, and film companies that make movies, so it's not up to me, right?

Say hi to your Book Club members for me. Tell them I'm working hard to keep writing material that will please and amuse them!
