Mrs. Norman (3rd grade teacher)

Hello! I just wanted to say thank you for your novels! I have enjoyed them as an adult, and I know several teachers in my building use your novels as read alouds after recess or to end the day.

Two of my third graders asked me if I would start a book club after school, and I suggested we do one of your novels. I have about 15 3rd grades meeting after schools on Wednesdays to read Slacker. This novel has intrigued the female and male students. I have all different reading abilities in this group discussing your work. THEY LOVE IT!
