Sangamhi so i am writing to ask if the refrences to other books inside the books was purposeful or if it just happened like accidentally. Like recently i was rereading restart (thats a lot of re’s) and i saw that brandon as thinking about calling his movie slugfest which is another one of your books. I also want to know what is your favorite book and if you are planning to write a sequel to the unteachables becuase its my absolute favorite book you wrote. Also do you have any tips for someone wwho wants to learn to write great fiction

Thanks for posting. I'll try to answer all your questions:
I wrote Restart (2016) long before I even thought of writing SLUGFEST (2023), so the use of the word was accidental.
I honestly have no favorite among my 107 (soon to be 108!) books. But I admit to being VERY proud of Book #100, THE FORT, and also the MASTERMINDS series.
I'm glad you enjoyed THE UNTEACHABLES so much. As you might imagine, it was fun to write, too!
Writing tips: Read a lot, and write a lot too. That's important because it makes you fluent with language. And NEVER put down a single word unless your story is well-planned. You can't say anything properly unless you know exactly what you want to say. And you just don't know that unless you PLAN. For me, at least, planning is everything.
OK? Good luck, Sangam! -----Gordon Korman-----
