Hello Gordon Korman! My name is Hazel. I was wondering your thoughts on Restart being a movie. I am a 5th grader in Fairhaven, and I thought it would make a great movie. Please get back to me soon.

    Hi, Hazel,

    Thanks for posting.

I agree with you -- RESTART would make an amazing movie. However, it's not up to me. Authors write stories, and film companies make movies. So until a film company sees the book and decides to make the move, we wait! Sorry.

                                          Thanks again,                                                                     -----Gordon Korman-----

thank you for responding! I looked it up and it says that they are currently working on a script, and that film rights have been purchased. please consider asking about that.

I haven't, Hazel. And the protocol is for me to mind my business, which is writing, and let them mind theirs, which is filmmaking. I'm sure I'll be called when it's time. It's exciting, though, isn't it?                                        --GK--

    Morrison

Hey, i’m Morrison and im going into fifth grade, something i wanted to ask about is if someone made a Restart movie is could i play a character, i dont have any acting experience, and I turn 11 in less than two months, i would take so many acting lessons just to be apart of this movie for any character.

Sorry, Morrison. I think I've answered this request before. If a movie is made, it won't be by the author, but by a film company that buys the rights to the book from me. In any case, I would have nothing to do with casting or even with the script.

But I agree with you that RESTART would make a terrific movie!                                                    --GK--
