Hello Mr. Korman,

I had my 4th grade son watch episode 1 of Band of Brothers for memorial day and have been teaching him about WW2.  At one point, he said that Captain Sobel sounds a lot like this guy in this book we are reading, and his name is Solway (my son actually thought it was the same name at first).  My interest was immediately piqued when I saw that name of the main character is Ambrose.  I deep dived in and saw many parallels between both the main character and Solway. Connection?  Fell free to email me if that works better (I believe you should be able to see it on your end).

Thanks for posting. As  I never watched "Band of Brothers," I was unaware of the names used. The comparison was with my novel RESTART, which has Mr. Solway and the main character, whose name is Chase Ambrose, which is where any similarity ends.  I did do a novel about WWII, but RESTART wasn't it. So the coincidences just aren't. At least, not on the surface -- one story about the second World War, and the other about a kid who was a bully, then has an accident, loses his memory of how he used to be, and becomes a better person. The theme: second chances.

That's a crazy coincidence if you know the actual Captain's life story!  Fits Restart like a shoe!
