T.F.Dear Gordon Korman,
My name is T.F. and I LOVE your books. The books I’ve read are The Unteachables, Unplugged, Whatshisface, Operation Do-over, The Super Teacher Project, Slugfest, Restart, and I’m in the middle of Ungifted. Right now my all time favorite book is Operation Do-over. I love the books because in most of your books every chapter is from a different person’s perspective.
Here is a little bit about me. I’m 10 years old, live in New York, and I am in fourth grade. I really like to travel and my parents have taken me on a lot of trips. I feel like the character in your books that I am most like is Ty from Operation Do-over. I think this because I am really into the supernatural.
I have some questions for you. Which book of yours is your favorite? How do you create such amazing stories? Which book was the hardest book to write? And who was your favorite character?
I have an idea for a book that I would like for you to consider. It's called “ Swapped ”. It’s about two kids that have heart transplants, and they have their personalities and interests swapped. And they have to find each other, learn about each other and get back their life. Do you think that is a good book?
I had so much fun writing this letter and I really hope you respond.
Thank you.
From, T.F.

Thanks for posting.I'm pleased to be able to include you as one of my fans. I hope you'll want to read your way right through my long list. When July comes along, my next book, SLEEPLESS, will come out making my list 108 titles long!
Your questions: I honestly don't have a favorite among my books and characters. Having said that, I admit to being very proud of THE FORT, which was my Book #100. And I'm petty proud of the MASTERMINDS series too. How do I create the stories? With a lot of thinking and plotting. No big mystery, T.F.; it's just work.
I'm pleased that you approve of my use of first-person narratives in a lot of my work. It's a technique I enjoy using, mostly because it gives a more well-rounded texture to my story.
Re: SWAPPED. I think the next book of mine that you have to read is called MIXED UP. You have independently come upon something very close to that story. Let me know what you think after reading it, OK?
Thanks again, T.F. -----Gordon Korman-----
