We ended up reviewing Linked in my class. One student compared the paper chain to modern causes—specifically for her, abortion. We made a small chain and it was eye-opening. Thank you.

Thanks for posting. I can't take 100% credit for the paper chain. The story was based on a real school that, in order to get their heads around the number 6,000,000 deaths in the Holocaust, collected 6 million paper clips just to see what such a vast number looked like. I used paper chains in LINKED for the same purpose. I'm pleased to note that the concept suited your purposes as well.
