I love that the characters from "The Fort" share commonalities with the characters in "Goonies." It didn't strike me until towards the end (chapters 28+). Ricky/ Data. Luke & Jaeger/ the rich folks being selfish and destructive. Each character has their own quirks, yet without the binding they would not be so magical as a unit.
