I just finished Operation Do-Over and it’s really fun and interesting, but there is one thing I am surprised about.

Mason did not tell the whole truth when talking with Ty about his time travel experience. When he went back to being 12, I feel like if he told him what went wrong during his previous life, then Ty would have a better chance at believing him. Although I do understand why he didn’t, since it would be too much for Ty to handle.

What really gets me, though, is after Mason went back to being to 17, he lied about ever time traveling, even when Ty deliberately asked him about it. One reason Mason and Ty’s relationship broke in the first place was because of untruthfulness, and I feel like Mason wasn’t being fair to him when he lied yet again. Also is he just not gonna tell anyone that he doesn’t remember the past 5 years of his life?

Anyways I loved this book and all the other Gordon Korman books that I have read since they are so fun and relatable (except I’ve never time traveled) and I know I’m gonna read more!

Thanks for posting. Good point. BUT - what were the chances of Mason explaining everything and having the people he was telling about it decide that he was lying? Or a little wingy? Would you have tried to explain all that stuff, especially when you weren't sure yourself exactly what might be happening to you?

I also feel like Mason should’ve told Ty that had time traveled. But at least his life got in order.
