    The Man Brandon

    Gordon,

I purchased a copy of your Hypergifted on Kindle and an actual book copy, I tried asking a question about it months ago, but I guess you did not ever see it. Anyway, I just want to say I have a personal copy of all three books, on hand and on Kindle, I love the trilogy.

I was let down by the ending of Supergifted, because it felt that no one appreciated Donovan Curtis, but I love what you did with Hypergifted so much. How people finally see Noah and Donovan as an unified team than one preferred over the other. However, I especially love how his relationship especially with his father improved, and the ending was so beautiful, the Curtises take Donovan home with Noah, but his parents focus on Donovan not Noah. As Donovan is their son not Noah.

I will say that for years I have written my own fan fiction sequel titled Regifted, to tidy up Supergifted. However, it was so refreshing to finally see an actual sequel in the trilogy. Hypergifted is great in every way, thank you, thank you! I have also been working on a fan fiction sequel to Tangerine by Edward Bloor for years, only to find the sequel Goalkeeper, which came out last year.

I bring up that book, because I do not know if you are familiar with Edward Bloor or the Tangerine series, but I saw several similar elements, and I think it would be interesting for a crossover between the two boys. They can hit it off very well together: Paul Fisher (his brother, Eric, and his parents, Neil and Caroline) and Donovan Curtis (his sister, Kate, and his parents). I am writing, if you want to see it, a story for myself, crossing between two families. It is not finished, but it is so interesting.

Please keep up your good stories, Gordon Korman, you are among many influences for me (a fellow writer myself). Have a great week!

    Brandon

    Hi, Brandon,

Thanks for posting, and for getting in touch previously as well. I'm sorry I didn't get back to you then. I really do try to get to everybody, but I admit I mess up sometimes.

I'm not familiar with Edward Bloor's work, but I hope to find the time to reseach your comments on it. And I'm really pleased to hear that HYPERGIFTED went over so well with you. As you can imagine, writing it was really a labor of love. I'm glad the Donovan and Noah relationship development pleased you. I was striving for a somewhat unique symbiotic quality that seems to have come through.

Thanks again, Brandon. Sorry I missed you the first time around.

                                                          Kindest regards,                                            -----Gordon Korman-----

P.S. Hope you'll watch for SLEEPLESS, which comes out just TODAY.    --GK--
