Hi Gordon Korman! I loved the book Restart, it’s my favorite from your books! I’ve also read a few others that I loved as well. I was wondering.. we don’t get many descriptions in the book about what the characters look like. For example, characters like Chase, Shoshanna, Joel, Brendan, Aaron, or Bear, how tall are they, what hair color/eye color, etc? Thank you for writing so many amazing books! I aspire to be as creative as you!

Thanks forposting. I'm glad you enjoy my books, and that RESTART went over so well with you.

I have no trouble seeing my characters as I'm writing. For example, I can see a dark, tall, slender Shoshanna pouring froyo on Chase's blonde head. I guess I may be taking it for granted that my readers can see them too. e.g. you know Aaron and Bear are a couple of crew-cut big guys, right? Hector is short and dark. And my athletes are big guys, muscular -- although the wide receivers are tall and rangy. Eye color? I usually ignore eye color. Ouch.

ANYWAY -- I will try to do better. Although I always skipped over those parts in the books I read when I was a middle grader ...
