Dear Mr. Korman,

I read The Fort at my middle school, and I liked when Evan's grandmother forces him to hang out with Ricky. Evan was abandoned by his parents because they are drug addicts, and I heard that the story begins the morning after Hurricane Leo devastates their town of Canaan. I know Evan is reluctantly taking in on Ricky Molina, a new boy whose home was damaged by a tree branch.
