MeaganI am a paraprofessional in a 6th grade ELA class. Our teacher does a read-aloud every MWF. The class chose to read The Unteachables! We read Aldo's first chapter where was very upset that the vending machine gave him a Mounds bar instead of a Zagnut. This led us to Google what the heck a Zagnut even is. We chuckled when we realized that Zagnuts are covered in toasted coconut and Aldo HATES coconut. Is this a sneaky irony? Who's going to tell Aldo that Zagnut has coconut??

Thanks for posting. Yes, it may be an irony. And it may also be that, until now, I had no idea Zagnuts were coconut thingies. I just liked the name. Hope THE UNTEACHABLES went over well wih the class.
