[Jaiden]

Dear Mr Korman,

I am working on a book series about two idiots, Chestnut and Doofus.

I am wondering how much books should be in a book series.(I’m thinking about 7)

Hi, Jaiden,

Thanks for posting.

Congrats on your book series. You can't go by how many books of the series that a store will carry. You just have to write what you write. Tip: most series books come out one every 6 or 8 months,or even a full year. Like a single book which finishes when the story is complete, a series can be as long as it takes to tell your whole story. 7 is fine. In my own case with MASTERMINDS, 3 was just right. The author is the boss -- your choice.

Good luck with your project!                                                                         -----Gordon Korman-----

Good luck Jaiden.
