    Hi, Milo,

Re: ON  THE RUN. I was looking for a story that I could drape across 6 books, and that's what I came up with -- basically, an injustice that needed to be set right, with good guys, two great gutsy kids, and a really bad guy. There is a 3-book sequel called KIDNAPPED. Have you read it?

I recommend that you turn to some real stories about real people, and abandon the green monsters with sharp teeth.

                                                                  Best regards,                                                                            G-dog.

hey G-dog, Why do you think I should abandon my green monster thing? I'm pretty much halfway through!  I think it\'l be a big hit! I'm curious why you choose to write about real life stuff?   - milo A.KA supa cool guy

    Hi again, Milo,

Of course you should write what you choose -- I shouldn't have tried to discourage you. But I've been in this business almost 50 years, and it's my experience that the wilder the story, the smaller the audience. Readers tend to want to identify with the characters in the books they're reading, and very few identify with green critters with sharp teeth. But of course, it's your book, and therefore it's up to you.                                                                                                              --G-D--

Dear G-dog, great  point about  identification with characters !!!  I  myself identify with Cam from Slacker. Just I don't play as many video games!   Thanks so much for writing to me!  - Milo A.K.A  M-Dawg
