Hi Gordon,

I just wanted to say thank you. I first read your books about 15 years ago when I was in sixth grade, and I got completely hooked on the Kidnapped series. After that, I read Schooled! and kept coming back to your books.

It’s kind of wild to think about now because I’m getting ready to self-publish my own first book, with a release date of November 16.

I only have 10 preorders so far, but honestly, even that feels surreal. The fact that there are actually people out there who want to read something I wrote is hard to wrap my head around.

Your books were part of what made reading feel exciting to me at that age, and they stayed with me long enough that I actually included you in the acknowledgements of my own book.

So I just wanted to say that I’m really grateful I got to discover your work when I did. It feels pretty special to be thinking back to sixth grade now, just a couple of weeks away from putting my own story out into the world.

Thanks for posting. I'm pleased that you remember me frm way back when! And even more pleased to hear that my books made a hit with you. If I had anything to do with your plan to write stories yourself, I'm thrilled!

Here's hoping your books have the same effect mine did, and have been doing for almost 50 years! I wish you every success, Hope it's a blockbuster!
